on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at the SCPFRC, AAFC, London, Ontario. For

Poster session:
Attendees
are encouraged to bring both new and previously-presented posters.
There will be a student poster competition with cash prizes. Abstracts
of new poster presentations can be published in the Canadian Journal of
Plant Pathology for an additional abstract publication fee of
$35/poster. Abstracts should be prepared following the guidelines for
publication in CJPP that can be found on the CPS website. Abstracts
should be submitted to Kenneth Conn vial email by October 30, 2009.

The
SORA-CPS 2008 annual meeting was very successful. It was held on
Saturday, November 22, 2008 at the SCPFRC, AAFC, London, Ontario. About
50 people attended and nine students competed for the best poster
competition. Prizes were $50, $30, and $20 for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd,
respectively. We thank Syngenta Crop Protection Canada, Inc., BASF
Canada, and Norgen Biotek Corp. for sponsorship of our 2008 meeting.
